Location
Tattie's Hole is located amidst the central highlands in the beautiful 500 acre estate of the Victoria Golf and Country Resort - regularly hailed as one of Asia's most beautiful golf courses. The estate is hidden within the Knuckles Range, approximately 20km east of Kandy, Sri Lanka's hill-country capital. The drive from Colombo takes approximately four hours. You can also travel direct to Victoria using the Air Taxi from Katanayake Airport, landing on the surrounding reservoir, just a short stroll away the club house.
Introduction
Tattie's Hole is a delightful apartment attached to a larger house owned by an English couple, both club members. With a gateway onto the third fairway, the property is only 10 minutes walk from the clubhouse. The apartment consists of two ensuite rooms, a kitchenette and lounge, and is cleaned daily by Victoria staff. The star feature to the property is a pagoda found in the colourful, overflowing garden. Here you can enjoy your breakfast in the fresh air or capture some midday shade. The English owners are extremely hospitable and will ensure you enjoy your stay, whether sharing a drink at their bar or providing other services such as sumptuous BBQ or golf partner.

Accommodation
Two double ensuite bedrooms rented on a room by room basis (one room can be twin). The rooms are homely, well furnished and individually decorated and have overhead fans. The ensuite bathrooms are modern and have h/w showers. There is a small lounge with wicker furniture, DVD and music system, fan and mosquito net.
Facilities
Kitchenette (without oven), washing machine, staff to clean and do laundry, a garden Pagoda which is fitted with electricity and speakers and is ideal for an evening barbeque or cold beer after a day on the golf course. Internet and office facilities are available next door in the owner's house. Regular transfers to clubhouse and use of all VGCR facilities including the infinity swimming pool and spa.
Excursions
The Victoria Golf and Country Resort, just 10 minutes walk away, offers a wide range of facilities including an 18-hole golf course, putting green and practice range, Pro shop and PGA golf academy. Other sports and recreational facilities include bar and terrace dining, floodlit tennis court, saddle club, riding lesson for adults and children, and horse safaris. Other facilities include an outdoor infinity swimming pool and an Ayurvedic centre. The surrounding reservoir and central hills are ideal for bird watching. More than 100 species of birds can be spotted on nature trails within the 500-acre estate accompanied by a local expert. Mountain bike trails also provide for much adventure. The city of Kandy, just 30 minutes away, is steeped in history and culture. Interesting activities include: a visit to the Temple of the Tooth where a sacred tooth relic of the Lord Buddha is enshrined; Peradeniya Botanical gardens, with its orchid collection and formally laid-out trees; Kandy's rich ancient arts and crafts including drum making, Dumbara mat weaving and Kandyan dancing and drumming.
