Day 1, 2, 3 & 4Arrive at the Colombo International airport located conveniently outside the city for a short transfer to the coast of Negombo. Check-in to Seashells Resort, set just back from Negombo’s tropical beaches. After a lengthy flight, take it easy in the morning and meet for a leisurely lunch before the business begins. Head to Negombo’s BOI Ground for afternoon training to familiarise yourselves with conditions in preparation for tomorrow’s match. Today is MATCH 1 v. Cricinfo XI at BOI Ground. The ground hire in the region represents excellent value for Sri Lanka comparatively, and the squares support top level club cricket. Shake off any niggles and tighten up on any weaknesses at training in the morning. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5, 6, 7 & 8At the start of your journey, stop off at Kuranegula for MATCH 2: a Twenty20 game against a local club side. After the game, journey on and head to Victoria Country Club, just outside Kandy. Take a full day at leisure to enjoy all the facilities that Victoria has to offer. Take an optional round at the most beautiful golf course the island has to offer. Alternatively, you can go sight-seeing in Kandy.

From your base at Victoria, travel to the Kundasale Ground for MATCH 3. This is one of your tours more quirky venues, set in a community service centre, with basic facilities and a cute view. Back-to-back matches takes you to a very different venue today. MATCH 4 is held at the brand new Pallakelle International Stadium – a ground developed in preparation for the 2011 Cricket World Cup. Enjoy your final night at Victoria.

Day 9, 10 & 11Go west to Hikkaduwa – the island’s famous surfer and hippy hang out to chill out for the next few days. Check-in to Coral Sands and head down the beach to look for entertainment for the evening. Day 10 is a beach day. A short bus journey south opens you up to some Galle Coast sight-seeing, including the famous 17th Century Dutch Fort and local beach hang-outs. Regroup for the evening training session at the Seenigama Oval.

Play MATCH 5 v. Seenigama Village XI at Seenigama Oval. The wicket is a good quality Astroturf, and the outfield is lush. The ground was re-established by the Foundation of Goodness project - in conjunction with the MCC and Surry CCC – and worthy of your support.
