Introduction
This tour is tailored for a larger group of social cricketers likely to be travelling with family. With this in mind, the itinerary includes plenty of off-field entertainment in consideration for non-playing members of the party. In 14 nights, you can get a real taste of the island’s variety of treasures – heritage, hills, beaches, city life, and of course, some stirring cricket venues.

Sri Lanka Tours Day 1, 2 & 3Arrive in at Colombo International Airport, 1 hour outside the city, and transfer straight to the peace of Chaaya Village hotel in Dambulla – your accommodation for the next 3 nights. Take a lazy morning to wander out into this historic location, or simply get the long journey and any jet-lag out of the system before practice in the afternoon at Dambulla’s formidable and inspiring International Stadium. On Day 3, play MATCH 1 v. Red Dot Invitation XI at Dambulla International Stadium. You may wish to get your names painted up on the massive scoreboard to mark the occasion.

Sri Lanka Tours Day 4, 5 & 6Transfer south to Victoria Country & Resort, just south of Kandy. This is one of the island’s hidden treasures. En route, visit Dambulla’s remarkable caves and Kandy’s Temple of the Tooth. Take a full day at leisure. Red Dot urges touring golf-enthusiasts to take up the chance to tee-off on one of Asia’s most beautiful golf courses. Otherwise relax and the country club. On Day 6, play MATCH 2 v. Cricinfo XI at Trinity College’s very own Test Match ground – the Asigiriya Stadium. After the game, enjoy a civilised beer or two in the private club house.

Sri Lanka Tours Day 9, 10, 11 & 12Make use of your final morning in the hills, before taking the afternoon transfer to the stunning beaches of the south coast. Stay for 4 nights at Mandara Resort in coconut groves set back from Mirissa beach. Just relax on the beach, or get stuck in to some deep sea fishing, dolphin and whale watching, and chose from a variety of water sports locally available. Drag yourself away from the beach to play at a third Test quality stadium – this time at Galle, where you can climb the surrounding Fort to a stunning view behind the bowler’s arm. This is MATCH 4 v. Galle Cricket Club at Galle International Stadium.

On Day 12, take up another opportunity to rest tired limbs on the sand of the southern beaches. For the more active, there is the option of Deep Sea Fishing, various water sports, or Dolphin and Whale watching off the coast.
