'It’s hard to find fault with this superb hotel. Rooms, with high wooden ceilings, languidly rotating fans, hardwood furnishings and modern bathrooms, have lots of colonial style and views over the gorgeous pool, which in turn has views over the gorgeous rice fields and duck-filled ponds. The restaurant is equally classy, with Western and Asian dishes.'
