Lonely Planet Sri Lanka, 2006
A gorgeous traditional villa with lots of colour and flair (or `Swissness’, as the sign says). The beautiful gardens face the beach and there are regular tastings of produce from the coconut tree. The decor is delightfully funky, and the more expensive rooms have fridge and air-con. Muesli in the morning is home-made; elaborate seafood dinners feature at night.
Footprint Sri Lanka, Fourth Edition
Attractively furnished bungalows and villas….pleasant garden with wonderful secluded feel, personal attention, good home cooking.’
Customer Feedback
Jan 09, 2011 : Ice Bear, Negombo: Dark rooms and unhelpful staff, a place for backpackers not families
-- EE – Australia
Dec 28, 2009 : Toilet not working when we arrived and no hot water. Other areas of accommodation were very good. Lovely bedroom. Staff as elusive as leopards in Yala. However very friendly when we did manage to locate someone. Good location and nice to walk to the shops
--- TG – Birmingham
Dec 15, 2008 : Very friendly and warm service. Lovely garden and full of character
---CE – London
Mar 08, 2008 : Very individual and quaint. Well worth a visit.

Dec 03, 2007 : This place reminded me of my earlier days of backpacking, a bit rough around the edges, but lots of character, fine for a brief stay before we set off early the next morning for the airport.
JS – Dorset
Jul 29, 2007 : A funky and nice place. Ok for preparing for the tour, but I doubt if people would want to stay here for more than a few days.

Apr 11, 2007 : A pleasant, relaxing stay. A homely atmosphere, I loved the attention to detail and the personal effects in the room. Brilliant location. I would recommend this -- it has a charm of its own. Thank-you.
LM – Wirral
Mar 25, 2007 : Wonderful room, full of character, but mosquitoes were very abundant.
GH – Cradley
Mar 24, 2007 : Great food and ambience.
AJ – London
Mar 02, 2007 : As described in the brochure: somewhat unique. The most welcoming and helpful of all the guesthouses visited. However, we had not been allocated the villa we expected and this took the gloss of our experience
TW – Uxbridge
Feb 25, 2007 : Full off character, beautiful location and great atmosphere. Pity about the noisy party on the beach on our last night.
HT – Cambridge
Dec 22, 2006 : A delightful haven from the busy streets.
DW – Devon
Dec 02, 2006 : Very cosy set-up and great breakfast. Wouldn't sunbathe outside here, on beach, because of local fishermen activity.
MG – Australia
