Location
The Beach Hut is situated in the small coastal village of Dalawella just 10 mins from Galle, a historic town that contains two of Sri Lankan's famous sites: the 300-year-old Dutch Fort, a World Heritage Site now enjoying a remarkable cultural revival, and Galle International Stadium, one of the world’s most picturesque cricket stadiums. Journey from Colombo’s international airport is approximately 4 hours.
Introduction
The Beach Hut is a fabulous new addition to the beach villas available close to Galle. It is ideal for couples and a perfect escape for a romantic honeymoon. But there is also a small bedroom for children so the property is also popular with small families. The villa is indulgently spacious with upstairs reserved for sleeping and the downstairs for relaxation. The interior is chic and bright. The pool is magnificent and the beach sits at the end of a well cared for garden.

Accommodation
The villa has one spacious master bedroom suite with an ensuite bathroom and a smaller twin room - both located upstairs. The twin room has a/c. The master suite is furnished with a four poster canopied bed and has a ceiling fan to keep the room cool and comfortable. The Beach Hut can comfortably accommodate two adults and two children. Both rooms have airconditioning.
Facilities
Downstairs there is an open plan sitting area with large comfortable sofas and a dining area – which can be moved to the poolside in the evenings. There is a large pool and sundeck. At the end of the garden there is a lovely cushioned seating area overlooking the beach, perfect for sunset. The Villa has three staff - the houseboy and housekeeper will help buy your provisions and ensure the villa is spotless. They can also prepare a limited range of meals for which you pay only the cost. Local chefs can be hired if more elaborate dining is required. There is also a night watchman.
Excursions
There is a fine beach at the end of your garden but you may also like to explore the picture-postcard perfect Mirissa to the south, Unawatuna with its abundance of friendly beach bars and Hikkaduwa to the north for its foaming surf. Visit the historic 17th century Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with narrow streets lined with Dutch and British colonial era buildings which are still in use, sturdy ramparts looking out to sea, the lighthouse, and a growing collection of art galleries and several boutique hotels.
