The Sri Lanka Travel Specialists
The success of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 paid testament to the passion held for cricket in South Asia. The One Day tournament was played out in front of raucous packed houses in impressive state-of-the-art venues that served to drive both Sri Lanka and India though to a final head-to-head in Mumbai.
And these lands are not finished holding world-class cricket entertainment yet. In 2012, Sri Lanka are all set to play host again to a key Test Match series and World T20 tournament. After the glory of a comprehensive Ashes win 'Down Under', the England side are out to hold top spot in the Test rankings and retain the World Twenty20 crown. But their credentials are due to face thorough examination during a winter on the subcontinent before they can lay claim to the title undisputed top dog.

Many of you have asked why we do not seek official status. We explain our policy below.
Red Dot has been running acclaimed tailor-made holidays in Sri Lanka since 2001.
Some clients booking holidays with us happen also to make independent arrangements to buy tickets for ICC cricket events. That is their choice and we do not become involved in those arrangements at any stage.
We are happy to accede to the ICC’s request that we state categorically that Red Dot cannot provide tickets for the 2012 World T20 because we have chosen not to apply for Official Agent status.
Neither will Red Dot offer cricket-related packages for this event.
Red Dot respects the ICC’s wish to provide secure and organized arrangements for cricket holidaymakers, and also entirely respects the professionalism of those companies officially appointed. However, we believe that this system contributed to over-pricing and low sales in the 2007 World Cup in the Caribbean.
We believe that for a Sri Lanka specialist such as ourselves the ICC system limits choice and flexibility for our customers. Only by selling flights, accommodation and transport direct to the customer can we offer true value for money.
Red Dot selects only the best accommodation in Sri Lanka, in its particular price range. Please suggest which of the three categories might most appeal to you. (You can tick more than one box).
