'Easily the most luxurious resort in Sri Lanka, as well as the most expensive. Each of the 30 suites has its own private plunge pool and is comfortable to such an extent that you may need to be prised out on check-out day. The modern design is dramatic; the open-air bathrooms are all natural stone. All of the units have ocean views, and some are right on the beach. Service is superb, and the food and beverages are as you’d expect.'

'The accommodation is in villas strung out in three tiers along the hillside and each one has its own rectangular swimming pool. The rooms are glass-sided with no curtains, partial privacy from prying eyes in the villas above being obtained by drawing the latticed screens.
