Location
The Renuka is a mid-range hotel with a loyal clientele and a reliable reputation built over many years. It is centrally located on the Galle road and is close to many of the finest restaurants, shopping malls and nightspots in this compact, easily-explored city. Colombo is about one hour from the airport.
Introduction
Recently refurbished, Renuka Hotel is a welcoming city hotel with modern facilities that will suite those looking to spend a couple of days in Colombo at the beginning or end of their holiday in Sri Lanka. The Renuka’s Palmyrah restaurant is one of Colombo’s most popular Sri Lankan restaurants and serves up sumptuous curries along with hoppers, string hoppers and Thosai prepared according to traditional Jaffna recipes. For those with a taste for something hot and spicy, the crab meat curry here is highly recommended.

The Renuka has 81 airconditioned ensuite bedrooms – single, double, and deluxe rooms with some that are interconnecting and suitable for families. Rooms are furnished with twin or double beds and work desk. In-room facilities include Broadband Internet and IDD telephone facilities, flat screen TV with cable channels, mini-fridge, safety locker, free morning newspaper, and 24-hour room service.

Hotel facilities include the Palmyrah restaurant serving Sri Lankan and Continental cuisine and two bars serving a range of alcoholic beverages; business centre with secretarial services, conference and banquet facilities, swimming pool, laundry and dry cleaning service, and doctor on call.
Excursions
This is an ideal base from which to explore Colombo including its Colonial history during the Portuguese, Dutch and the British periods in Sri Lanka. Interesting sites include the Fort and Pettah, the capital’s largest bazaar, several old Dutch churches, the National Museum and the Dutch Museum. The capital is also famous for its shopping, especially Paradise Road, Barefoot and ODEL - all of which are a short trishaw ride away.
