Location
Lavinia Residencies is a beachside house consisting of six self-catering apartments which are ideal for families and long-stay guests. It lies at the end of a peaceful street in The journey from the international airport will take about 1.5 hours.
Introduction
The recently completed Lavinia Residencies is the sister property of Mount Lavinia House located just next door. The British and Sri Lankan owners have caringly refurbished this large house, maintaining its original high ceiling, wooden floors and spacious rooms. Six spacious and private apartments have been created, each with a separate bedroom, living and dining area, private balcony and well-equipped kitchen. Some apartments have wonderful sea views.

Accommodation
There are three spacious one-bedroom apartments (Jasmine, Lotus, and Aliya) which can easily accommodate an additional single bed. Araliaya and Hibiscus are two-bedroom apartments and Orchid has three bedrooms. All apartments are a/c and furnished with timber king-sized or single beds dressed in fine white linen.
Facilities
All apartments have spacious living and dining areas furnished with comfortable sofas and teak dining tables. The kitchens have washing machine, fridge, stove, crockery and cutlery. If you don’t feel like doing your own cooking, just pop in next door to the Mount Lavinia House for your meals or just order and they will deliver to your apartment. There are also several bars and restaurants a short stroll away including a beach-hut restaurant owned by Mount Lavinia House. Here you can feast on fresh seafood including crabs, prawn and lobster with the Indian Ocean lapping at your feet. Lavinia Residences has TV, telephone and wi-fi. Guests are welcome to use all facilities at the Mount Lavinia House next door including the restaurant and swimming pool.
Excursions
Explore the township of Mount Lavinia with its characterful beachside bars, cafes and restaurants and wayside boutiques that sell from cotton beach shorts to gem studded jewelry. Take a tuk-tuk (trishaw) ride into Colombo which is an interesting mix of the old and the new. For the more adventurous, hop on the Colombo bound train which goes just and winds its way along the coastline right up to Fort at the heart of Colombo. Visit ancient Buddhist temples, ornate Hindu Kovils and Dutch period churches. Several shops, restaurants, night clubs, and spas are also located nearby.
