Pegasus Reef is a mid-range coastal hotel situated in Wattala which is within the northern fringes of the capital city of Colombo. Located just half an hour from the international airport, this city resort is a convenient first or last stop on a holiday to Sri Lanka. Wattala is about 30 minutes away from the heart of Colombo.
Introduction
Pegasus Reef, edged by sandy beaches and the shimmering Indian Ocean, offers a coastal environment away from the clamour of the city. Bedrooms are comfortably furnished and there are several recreational facilities on offer. The restaurants serve Sri Lankan and international cuisine.

There are 107 a/c rooms opening out to private balconies with garden and sea views. Rooms are furnished with double or twin beds and are equipped with satellite TV, telephone, mini-bar, safety lockers, room service and laundry service. Ensuite bathrooms have h/w showers.
Facilities
The open-air restaurant serves Sri Lankan and international cuisine. There is also a 24-hour coffee shop, lobby bar, two conference halls, banquet hall, and shopping arcade. Recreational facilities include tennis, squash, beach volleyball, a gymnasium and swimming pool. The Ayurvedic wellness centre offers a range of relaxing massages, herbal baths, and beauty treatments.
Excursions
Experience Colombo’s colonial history with a visit to the Fort and Pettah, the capital’s largest bazaar, several old Dutch churches, the National Museum and the Dutch Museum. The capital is also famous for its shopping, especially Paradise Road, Barefoot and ODEL. Venture off to Negombo and explore the fishing villages, ride on a catamaran with the fisherman, or visit old Dutch and Portuguese period churches. For those interested in nature and the wilderness, take a boat ride into the Muthurajawela marshes and the Negombo Lagoon - home to numerous species of birds and fish, dragon flies and monitor lizards.
