Sisindu C is a charming two-bedroom beach villa overlooking the turquoise seas of Habaraduwa. The historic town of Galle is only about 15 minutes away. The travel time from Colombo’s international airport will take about 4.5 hours which will be reduced considerably once the Southern highway is completed by the end of 2011. Consider taking the Air Taxi and fly into Koggala which is just 10 minutes away.
Introduction
Sisindu C is a two-storey, bright and airy beach villa with a Mediterranean feel. Enter through the antique doorways into the living space with beautiful, uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean. Interiors are highlighted with hues of sea green and white and local art. Relax by the poolside and take in the tropical sun; or sink into a comfortable sofa in the living room with a good book. Sisindu C can comfortably accommodate up to four guests.

Accommodation
The two a/c bedrooms are located on the upper floor and opens out to a wide balcony. Hours can be spent on the balcony relaxing and taking in the sea views or even dining under the stars. Rooms are furnished with king size four-poster beds dressed in fine linen and a day bed that can accommodate a child. Ensuite bathrooms have twin wash basins and h/w showers.
Facilities
The spacious open-plan living room on the ground floor flows seamlessly onto a wide verandah and the swimming pool. The living room is furnished with large sofas that can even serve as day beds. There is a long bar and show kitchen on one side of the living room. Dine on the verandah, at the bar or even in the garden pavilion. Sisndu C is rented on a bed and breakfast basis. Other meals are at cost price. Guests are welcome to cook their own meals or the chef will be happy to do your grocery shopping for you as well as prepare tasty Sri Lankan and western dishes. Alcoholic beverages are not available here, but guests are welcome to bring their own. The villa is staffed with a manager cum chef and gardener.
Excursions
Swimming in the sea right in front of the villa is possible during the season from December to April. There are several surf points nearby including Dahawalla, Unawatuna, and Mihiripanna. Venture off to Unawatuna and try some fresh seafood at one of the beach side cafes. There is also a PADI certified scuba diving centre at Unawatuna. Based at Mirissa Harbour, Mirissa Water Sports offers exciting water sports activities such as sailing, fishing, coastal cruises, sea kayaking, snorkelling and boating. The south of Sri Lanka beyond Dondra is considered one of the best locations in the world for spotting blue whales, sperm whales and spinner dolphins. Whale watching excursions into the deep seas is organised by Mirissa Water Sports during the season from December to April when the seas are calm. We also recommend a visit to Galle’s 17C Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with narrow streets lined with Dutch and British colonial era buildings which are still in use, sturdy ramparts looking out to sea, the lighthouse, and a growing collection of art galleries, shops, restaurants and several boutique hotels and cafes.
