Meals are served in the ground floor dining area of the Tree House or on the Lake House veranda. Traditional Sri Lankan cuisine is prepared with fresh village vegetables and seafood brought in from the nearby coastal town of Kalpitiya. A few western dishes, BBQs, snacks, fresh fruit juices, leaf congee, Ceylon tea and coffee are also on offer. Guests can bring their own alcohol. Discuss your meal preferences ahead of time and the cook will prepare the meals to your liking. She is also happy to share her traditional Sri Lankan recipes with guests. There are bicycles for exploring the estate and the surrounding villages, books and an easel. The estate is cultivated with vegetables and fruit trees and there are a few resident ducks, chickens, rabbits, dogs and mongoose. Cadjan Earth is staffed with a cook and housekeeper.
