Sri Lanka Tours Day 1, 2 & 3We will meet you at the Airport and transfer you directly to the historic city of Galle where you will stay for three nights at the luxurious Amangalla. Lying within the walls of Galle’s 17th century Dutch Fort – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Amangalla offers a wonderful escape for those wanting the highest possible luxury in intimate, interesting and historic surroundings. Galle Fort is a melting pot of cultural influences. Explore the Fort with its narrow streets, well preserved ramparts, the lighthouse, the Dutch Reform Church, and several houses with the typical manor house style architecture with columns, courtyards, and verandas. The thick, high ramparts that protect and distinguish the Fort are today used for romantic evening strolls and convenient viewpoints to catch the sweaty action of local 'village' cricket games and the international games held in the adjacent Galle cricket stadium.
