Eagle’s Falls is a spacious, five-bedroom villa in the Victoria Golf & Country resort. It overlooks Victoria reservoir and is set in lush gardens with a waterfall and small stream running by. The VGCR estate rests within the Knuckles Range, approximately 20 kms east of Kandy. The drive from Colombo takes approximately four hours or hop on board the 40-minute Air Taxi which flies directly from the international airport to Victoria Reservoir. Eagle’s Falls is situated 450 metres from the Club house. Free transfers to and from the club house are provided.
Introduction
Eagle’s Falls villa is in the Eagle’s Ridge section of the resort and has a laidback feel with comfortable rooms, large swimming pool and gardens scattered with tall tropical trees that attract many birds. This two-storey villa can be booked in its entirety or per room - with or without exclusivity. This privately-owned villa is managed by the Victoria Golf & Country Resort.

Accommodation
There are five a/c bedrooms furnished with double or twin beds. Bedrooms open out to private balconies with views of the reservoir. Ensuite bathrooms have h/w showers.
Facilities
There are several living spaces indoors and outdoors. The poolside patio is the best spot for lounging about. The indoor living room is equipped with cable TV and DVD player. The dining room has an eight-seater dining table. Internet is available at an additional charge. Guests have free access to the club’s tennis courts. All other facilities at the VGCR are available at an additional fee.

Eagle’s Falls can be booked on BB or HB basis. Breakfast is served in the villa and dinner at the Araliya restaurant at the club house. Araliya has an a la carte and set menu that you can choose from. Guests also have the option of hiring a chef who can prepare Sri Lankan and western cuisine at Eagle’s Falls. Guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages. The villa comes with two housekeeping staff.
Excursions
The Victoria Golf and Country Resort offers a wide range of facilities including a challenging 18-hole golf course that has been ranked in the ‘Top 100 Most Beautiful Courses’ by Golf Digest. There are also two putting greens, driving range, Pro-shop and PGA golf academy. Other sports and recreational facilities include a floodlit tennis court, Riding School and Saddle club that offer horse riding lesson and treks for children and adults; an infinity swimming pool, and rejuvenating Ayurvedic massages. The surrounding reservoir and central hills are ideal for bird watching. Over 100 species of birds can be spotted on nature trails within the 500-acre estate. Kandy located just 30 minutes away, is steeped in history and culture. Interesting activities include: a visit to the Temple of the Tooth where a sacred tooth relic of the Lord Buddha is enshrined; Peradeniya Botanical gardens with its orchid collection and formally laid-out trees; and vibrant Kandyan dancing and drumming. The Victoria Golf & Country Club is in Digana and on the northern route into the magnificent Knuckles Conservation Range – a World Heritage Site. The Knuckles consists of a series of mountain peaks with the highest point about 6,000 ft above sea level. A wide variety of rare and endemic flora and fauna makes this wilderness area a storehouse of rich biodiversity. Nature lovers will enjoy going on an adventurous day’s excursion into the Knuckles.
