Kikili House is the home of its British / Sri Lankan owners who rents out their separate four-bedroom annex for guests. It is also the sister property of the much loved Kikili Beach – a characterful, small beach villa just 15 minutes away. The vibrant and colourful interiors at Kikili House with a blend of art, music and books from the owner’s personal collection, makes it interesting and gives it a feel of being at home. Wake up leisurely and indulge in a slow, home cooked breakfast on the open air terrace. Set off by day to Galle Fort or the beautiful beaches of Unawatuna. There are several restaurants and cafes just a short 10 minute trishaw ride away. The turquoise seas of Unawatuna Bay are safe for swimming and surfing during the season from December to April. Kikili House can be booked by the room on a BB basis.
There are four comfortably furnished double rooms with a/c, overhead fans and ensuite bathrooms with h/w showers.
The living area is equipped with comfortable sofas, plenty of books and music and opens out to an enclosed tropical garden. Sri Lankan and western meals and snacks are served. Guests are welcome to step into the kitchen and learn Sri Lankan cuisine. Meals are served on the terrace or in the small dining room. There is also a well stocked fridge with cool drinks and bottled water and wifi internet in the Kikili office room.
Kikili House is a four-roomed guesthouse set in the suburbs of Galle town. Centrally located close to Galle’s 17C Dutch Fort – a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the golden beaches of the south, this is an ideal holiday retreat for a couple or friends travelling together. Galle is about 2.5 hours from Colombo’s international airport via the Southern highway.
