Meals are served in your own villa or in the garden huts by the sea – BBQs can be organised. Sri Lankan, Asian and Western cuisine and home-baked cakes/desserts are on offer. Meals are prepared with fresh seafood purchased from the local fisherman and vegetables from local markets/ their own organic vegetable garden. Other facilities include: Wi-Fi throughout the property; baby-sitting service (with prior notice); salt-water swimming pool and toddler pool, and an Ayurvedic spa. A team of local Ayurvedic practitioners headed by an experienced doctor conducts the treatments: guests can choose to have one or two relaxing massages or immerse in one of the following Ayurvedic wellness programmes – stress relief (five days); Ayurvedic rejuvenation (7 days), and weight loss and proper nutrition (7 days). The treatments include body massages with aromatic herbal oils, steam baths, herbal baths, flower baths, cleansing rituals and other therapies. Each treatment is designed to suit the specific needs or ailments of the client and conducted only after an initial consultation with the Ayurvedic doctor. During these Ayurvedic wellness programmes, the nutrition component also plays a vital role. A special menu is drawn up to meet the needs of each guest and cooked with much care at Max Wadiya. Guests can also participate in Yoga and guided meditation to create total mind and body wellness.
