'This gracious old villa, built in the 1860s by a Scottish spice merchant, has been renovated with superb taste. Located on the shady hill above the new town, the hotel has wonderful views towards the Fort. The spearmint-striped rooms are so perfect, you feel as if you’ve intruded into a photo shoot for one of those house decoration magazines. Our favourite was the red-and-white room with its mix of the old and new.'

Dec 16, 2007 : our expectations of the accommodation did not meet with what we found……the main criticism was the noise that emanated from the Bar area in that our bedroom was very close. The Sun House were keen to promote the Bar to non-residents which brought customers in who were very noisy until fairly late at night. We also expressed the opinion that the bedroom we had was small compared to what we had experienced at our previous accommodation at Taru Villas for a room rate that I think was more expensive. Service was excellent and the food was OK, not much change though in the evening menu for the week that we spent at the Sun House. Overall considering the reputation that the Sun House has we did not believe it lived up to its reputation.
