Once the home of Siddi Lebbe, an influential Sri Lankan philosopher, this-125-year-old walauwa has been transformed into a five-bedroom boutique villa, maintaining its old world charm. The original ornate floor tiles, trellised window panels, high timber roofs, and verandahs have all been retained. Interiors are a blend of traditional Kandyan design and contemporary touches. After a busy day of sightseeing, The Secret Kandy’s personalised service can be very welcome. The Secret Kandy is the sister property of The Secret Yala (a mobile camping experience bordering the Yala National Park) and 98 Acres in the southern highlands.
NOTE: The Secret Kandy is located at the edge of an up hill roadway and extra caution must be taken especially with regards to children while crossing the road.
