Sri Lanka Tours Day 1 & 2Upon arriving in Sri Lanka, transfer to the luxurious Wallawwa, a newly opened boutique hotel located just 15 minutes from the International Airport. This refurbished manor house is an ideal haven for acclimatising to Sri Lanka’s tropical climes and rejuvenating after the long flight. Relax and immerse yourself in a pampering massage at the Z Spa. Explore the coastal town of Negombo with its colonial architectural heritage including Portuguese period Catholic Churches, ruins of the Dutch Fort and cemetery, and boat rides along the centuries old Dutch Canals. Visit a fishing village and the early morning fish auction bustling with activity as the catamarans comes ashore with their bounty of fresh fish, prawns, crabs and lobster. Negombo by night also has a vibrant atmosphere with a scattering of bars and restaurants.

Sri Lanka Tours Day 3, 4 & 5Travel to the Cultural Triangle village of Kandalama situated in the north central province where you will stay three nights at the luxurious Heritance Kandalama designed by Sri Lanka’s famous architecture guru – Geoffrey Bawa. The hotel is perched on a rocky outcrop and overlooks the ancient Kandalama reservoir. The light tropical forest and caves that surrounds the hotel and the tranquil reservoir, provides a natural habitat for a variety of flora and fauna including birds, monkeys and deer. Relax at the Six Senses Spa located on the top floor of the hotel with magnificent views of the reservoir and surrounding wilderness. Sri Lanka Tours Day 6 & 7The journey from the cultural triangle to Sri Lanka's hill capital, the small lakeside city of Kandy, will occupy most of the morning. We recommend spending two nights at the Kandy House, a small boutique hotel located in the outskirts of the city. Relax by the poolside under the shade of tall tropical trees. Yoga and massage are available upon request. Visit the Temple of the Tooth where a sacred tooth relic of the Lord Buddha is enshrined since 4th Century A.D. The temple has decorative walls, a golden roof and fine woodwork. Religious services (pooja) with traditional music and drumming are held daily at dawn, midday and in the evening where guests can participate.

Sri Lanka Tours Day 8, 9 & 10Today you head south to the historic city of Galle where you will stay three nights at the magnificent Amangalla located within Galle’s 17th century Dutch Fort - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Amangalla’s fabulous Baths lets you relax your mind and body with an array of Ayurveda and Aromatherapy treatments and body massages. Daily yoga and meditation sessions are held at the Garden Pavilion next to the Baths. Explore Galle Fort with its well preserved bastions, public buildings, churches, and lighthouse. Hours can be spent exploring the maze of narrow streets lined with quaint houses, Dutch and British period buildings still in use, the growing collection of art galleries, antique shops and restaurants. There are some fine beaches just outside of the Fort including Wijeya, Unawatuna, Mirissa and Hikkaduwa. High on the headland of Unawatuna Bay is Rhumassala Temple. With beautiful views stretching out over the Indian Ocean, a walk around the headland near the temple is very special. Famed for the natural medicinal herbs nearby you will walk through hidden villages and verdant jungle valleys eventually finding yourself on "Jungle Beach" - a little known and secluded beach.
