Location: Jungle Side, a new south coast holiday house, is located just five minutes walk from the beach at Wewelgoda just south of the youthful resort of Hikkaduwa - one of the finest beaches on Sri Lanka’s beautiful southwest coast. The drive from the airport takes approximately four hours. The historic city of Galle is just 15 minutes away.

Description: The bungalow, situated in a lush tropical garden, is ideal for families and groups of friends looking for good-value, self-catering accommodation in the Hikkaduwa area. Surfers, attracted by the beaches famous waves, will enjoy its location. The three-bedroom house is spacious and furnished with modern conveniences.

Accommodation: There are three large double bedrooms, one of which is ensuite. The other two rooms share a bathroom with h/w shower, wash basin and w/c.

Facilities: The furniture is crafted from the garden’s own timber. The garden is also planted with several fruit trees including banana, mango, papaya, coconut and more. The ground floor houses a fully fitted kitchen, dining area and open veranda. The first floor has a 54 foot balcony with a hammock for lazy days. The second floor has a sun terrace and star bar for long nights.

Excursions: Situated on the palm-fringed west coat beach, and conveniently located close to many fun filled experiences, Hikkaduwa has some of the best surfing beaches and a wide range of water sports including diving over coral reefs, snorkeling, and windsurfing. Bentota’s lagoon is ideal for jet skiing, water skiing, and boat trips along the river. Visit the Kosgoda Turtle Conservation Project, which is a pioneering effort in conserving the endangered Marine Turtle species that come to nest in along the west coast of the island. These coastal towns and villages also share a vibrant cultural heritage including folklore, music, and dance forms. Cottage industries such as basket weaving, mask carving, and small shops selling Dutch antiques - furniture, lamps and ornaments, makes for interesting way side shopping. The historical town of Galle, with its 17th century Dutch Fort, a UNESCO-protected World Heritage site, is a short drive from Hikkaduwa and well worth a visit.
