Sri Lanka Elephant Pilgrimage – 14 nights
Our ‘Sri Lanka Elephant Pilgrimage’ has been designed for nature-loving families. The elephant, a mammal that has been an important part of Sri Lanka’s culture and ecology for thousands of years (10% of the world’s elephant population is concentrated in this small island), provides the central focus of the holiday, but there is plenty more packed in beside, including exploration of the island’s rich history, stays in the tea-growing hills and on the palm-fringed south coast. As usual with Red Dot holidays, if required, we can modify this itinerary and use different hotels to better suit the specific needs and interests of your family.

Tailormade Birding Holiday - 15 nights
Sri Lanka is a birdwatcher’s delight. This tropical island attracts more than 400 species, nearly half of them migrants and more than 20 endemic to Sri Lanka. The best time to visit is between November and March, when the migrants have landed, but there is plenty to satisfy you all year round.
A Red Dot birdwatching holiday comes with specialist guides and can be designed to satisfy everyone from the committed twitcher to the amateur enthusiast. We visit a range of fascinating locations, including coastal wetlands, rainforests and the soaring peaks of the hill country. Whether birdwatching is your passion, or you merely fancy a dabble, pick up a pair of binoculars, a guidebook and a notepad and join us in this birdwatcher’s paradise.

Luxurious Wildlife Retreat - 21 nights
The 'Luxurious Wildlife Retreat' allows you to experience Sri Lanka’s beautiful wilderness and provides ample opportunities for rest and rejuvenation in the island’s most unique and luxurious accommodation. The three-week holiday steers away from the well-trodden tourist trail to allow you to see Sri Lanka at its resplendent best: an island with its numerous species of birds, insects, reptiles, mammals and wondrous varieties of foliage in different parts of the island, from the tropical southern rainforests, to scrub jungle, gentle plains and a lush central highlands. Your final days will be spent in perfect hideaways along the South west coast relaxing, mesmerized by the turquoise waves of the Indian Ocean. For those who prefer a more intense, rustic wildlife experience and a shorter tour, we recommend our Sri Lanka Nature Trek.

Sri Lanka Nature Trek - 15 nights
This ‘Sri Lanka Nature Trek’ is specially designed for ramblers, nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. We’ve hunted down hotels situated in the most picturesque locations and created an itinerary that takes to see some of the island’s most memorable natural sites, including peaceful jungles in the cultural triangle, the impressive Hunas Giriyas mountains, the pristine tea-growing highlands, Yala’s rolling plains and the virgin rainforests of Sinharaja. Of course, we are able to tinker with this itinerary if wish and add an extra night here and there or include different hotels.
