Location
Beach Orchid, situated in Kollam, is a luxurious 95-roomed beach hotel that was completed in 2008. This five-star hotel has magnificent views of the Arabian Sea and the tranquil backwaters. Kollam is about 70 kms north of Trivandrum and 180 kms south of Cochin. The hotel can be reached by road or by boat along the backwaters.

The 95 luxurious rooms and suites at Beach Orchid offer panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and are stylishly furnished with twin or double beds. Ensuite bathrooms have h/w showers. The Sanitus Spa with sweeping views of the Arabian Sea offers Ayurvedic wellness and relaxation. The spa is staffed with experienced Ayurvedic physicians and the treatments on offer ranges from rejuvenating massages to intensive curative treatments that can last upto two weeks. A range of international and traditional Kerala dishes are served at the Black Gold restaurant. The coffee shop serves snacks and a variety of international coffees. Relax on the golden beaches of Kollam or take a backwater cruise on a houseboat past rural villages, ancient temples and churches. Interesting places to visit in Kollam includes the Thangassery Lighthouse, the Ananda Valleswaram Temple, the Pullichira Church and the Chinnakkada Palli mosque. Visit Varkala famous for its 3,500 year old Janardanaswamy temple located close to the Papanasam beach which is considered to have holy waters.
