The Sri Lanka Travel Specialists
There are several opportunities for sailing in Sri Lanka, particularly in places that are popular for water-sports like Unawatuna and Mirissa along the south coast, as well Bentota in the west and Trincomalee and Pasikudah in the east. We mostly offer boating experiences and activities, but we can organise some transfers by boat if you are planning and unhurried holiday and are keen to explore Sri Lanka’s spectacular coastline. We use two reputable water-sports companies – Sail Lanka and Borderlands – to ensure that your Sri Lanka boating activities are safe and enjoyable.
Sail Lanka offer a wide range of sailing experiences, including half-day excursions to private coves, whale and dolphin watching and sunset sea cruises, and you can even spend the night in the middle of the Indian Ocean on their stylish catamaran Jade 52. We can also organise a catamaran charter through Sail Lanka as well as longer sailing journeys, such as spending six nights at sea exploring Sri Lanka’s remote northern islands. Borderlands also offers opportunities for whale watching in Sri Lanka, as well as other boat-based activities such as kayaking or sea kayaking and white water rafting. Explore our range of sport and adventure experiences to discover our full range of Sri Lanka sailing activities, or get in touch with one of our knowledgeable travel consultants.
