Accommodation
Surrounded by misty hilltops and lush greenery, the Coffee Bungalow offers seven rooms: two Royal Suites (Arabica and Robusta),two Deluxe Suites (Alta Laka View and Dumbara Valley),one Family Suite (Planter's Suite) and two Deluxe Doubles (Roseneath and Dorwin). Every room has views of the hill country. With soft shades, elegant wooden furniture and floral curtains framing the windows, the rooms artfully resemble colonial charm. All rooms are equipped with modern amenities including Wi-Fi and in-room safe. The airy ensuite bathrooms of the bungalow feature a free standing bathtub and rain shower.
Deluxe Doubles: Located on the first floor, these 300 sq ft. Heritage double rooms have a king-sized four poster bed. The spacious rooms also has a small seating area overlooking the panoramic views of Kandy. The ensuite bathroom adorned in light hues, has a free standing bathtub. Hairdryers are also provided on request.
Deluxe Suites: Set on the first floor of the bungalow, these 500 sq ft. room feature high ceilings and large windows. The room has a king-sized four poster bed and an intricate wooden couch is placed near the window. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub and all other modern amenities.
Royal Suites: Conveniently located on the ground floor, the Royal Suites have direct access to the garden, swimming pool, dining and living rooms. The suites are regal in their appearance with warm shades used in interior. As with all the other rooms, the Royal Suites also have a well-appointed ensuite bathroom.
Facilities
The Coffee Bungalow holds many historic secrets within its folds waiting to be unravelled. Some of the first coffee trees that were planted by the British can be seen here along with new Arabica coffee. In the expansive garden, visitors can catch a glimpse of the iron coffee grinders used by the British coffee connoisseurs.
The infinity pool overlooked by the Kandyan hills is ideal to take a refreshing dip after a day of sightseeing. Head to a quaint library to enjoy a cup of tea or simply relax with a book. The Coffee Bungalow offers cycling gear-so guests can explore the pristine hill country on two wheels.
Gilbert's restaurant and bar mainly serves authentic Sri Lankan dishes and a range of British fusion dishes and has fine views of Kandy. Guests can also sample traditional Kandyan delicacies.
