Samudra House is a bright and airy two-bedroom beach villa set amidst tropical gardens leading to a pristine stretch of beach. Completed in 2014, this two-bedrom villa was designed by Sri Lankan architect Sumangala Jayatillaka who has created ample spaces to relax and take in the spectacular sea views including a broad verandah overlooking the gardens and sea beyond; living area with plush sofas; and an outdoor dining pavilion by the poolside. The seas fronting the villa are safe for swimming during the season from December to April. Samudra House has an informal feel and is ideal for families. The villa can accommodate up to five guests and is booked as a whole villa.
The two spacious bedrooms open out to the verandah, swimming pool, and the sea beyond. Interiors are furnished with antique style king-size four-poster beds, wardrobe, and lounge chair. Additional bedding can be provided for children. One of the bedrooms have satellite TV. Air-conditioning and overhead fans help to keep the rooms cool and comfortable. Ensuite bathrooms have twin vanities and h/w showers. There is also a third ensuite single bedroom which can be used if required.
The living room furnished with comfortable modern sofas, opens out to the verandah and the swimming pool. Meals are served in the open-sided dining pavilion looking out to the ocean. Prepare your own meals in the fully equipped kitchen, or let the in-house chef prepare traditional Sri Lankan and western meals for you. He will also help with the grocery shopping. Fresh seafood can be purchased directly from the local fisherman. Vegetables and other produce can be purchased from the local market. Guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages. Other villa facilities include a swimming pool, extensive garden leading to the beach; complimentary WiFi, satellite TV, laundry facility, relaxing massages and yoga sessions with prior notice. A team of staff including a chef, housekeeper and night watchman is at hand to assist guests.
