Leopard Safaris specializes in mobile camping safaris in Sri Lanka's three major National Parks - Yala, Uda Walawe, and Wilpattu. Guests are required to arrive at the National Park gate entrance by 12:30 p.m. and a minimum stay of two nights is required in order to fully experience this adventurous camping safari. Whether it's an adventurous game drive into the jungles or relaxing by a river in a hammock, Leopard Safaris can thrill every member of the family.
Introduction
This luxury camping safari is the vision of its owner Noel Rodrigo, a wild life specialist whose knowledge about the Sri Lankan leopard -- or kotiya as it is locally known - is second to none. Leopard Safaris has no permanent structures with everything brought in to the campsite a day prior to your arrival. This luxury camping package includes accommodation, all meals, BBQ and snacks, alcoholic beverages, unlimited game drives accompanied by a wildlife specialist and entrance fees to the National Parks.

Accommodation
Single or twin-sharing canvas tents furnished with twin beds. The bathrooms are detached from the tent and have washbasins, w/c, and h/w showers.
Facilities
Meals, including BBQs and snacks, are prepared at the well-equipped trailer kitchen and served up in style along with imported wine for dinner. Chilled beer and spirits are also on offer. Customized Toyota Land Cruisers are used for the game drives. These vehicles can handle every kind of terrain, give an excellent view, and are specially fitted with camera support points for photographers. A wildlife specialist will accompany guests on the game drives and is ever willing to share his knowledge and experiences.
Excursions
The safari parks:

Uda Walawe National Park  in Sri Lanka's south-central sector is the area which most resembles an African game park. Wildlife reports say there are about 600+ elephants in the park and they often roam in herds of up to 100.

Yala National Park  with a total protected area of 126,768 hectares, is one of the best places to see a wide variety of Sri Lankan wildlife because of its scrub plains, lagoons and rocky sections. Boasting one of the world's densest leopard populations, Yala also has elephants, sloth bears, sambar deer, spotted deer, wild boar, crocodiles, monkeys and buffalos and numerous species of birds.

Wilpattu National Park  covering an area of 1,085 sq. kms, has several unusual features, including a small fishing village, coastal cliff-tops as well as a collection of 'villus' (freshwater lakes) providing natural habitats for a variety of 'big game' including leopards, sloth bear, deer, water buffalo and many species of birds.
