Paradise Beach Club was one of the very first hotels on Mirissa Bay. Its laid-back beach atmosphere made it a great favourite, but it was badly affected by the Tsunami in 2004 and its recovery was slow. It is now back in full operation, caringly restored by its Sri Lankan owner and now includes a new wing of 20 Super Deluxe Rooms built in 2012. Its idyllic location, good food and homely feel, has won the hearts of many repeat guests including families with children. It is a sister property to the mid-market Palace Hotel, which lies on the top of the hill about 10 minutes walk away.
