Serendip is a refurbished colonial stone bungalow which has been caringly revived by its owners, who maintained the old architectural features and infused them with contemporary design. Interiors are stylish with soothing neutral colours and cooling cement floors, wooden pillars and verandas and are decorated with juxtaposing traditional antiques and modern furniture. The property is set amongst gardens scattered with fruit trees, offering peace and tranquillity. Its vegetarian-meals only policy will delight many and may even give the doubters a chance for a different culinary experience. Relax in a planter’s chair on the veranda, soak in the Jacuzzi in the back garden, and at night dine under the stars surrounded by scented candles and oil lamps. Serendip is rented per room, but provides much privacy.
