Cinnamon Bey’s Moorish architectural design and interiors pay tribute to the early Arab settlers that lived in the Beruwala area dating back to the 10th century. The term `Bey’ was commonly used to address nobleman of the Turkish Empire. This luxurious hotel blends this Moorish heritage including architectural features of archways, wooden trellises, turquoise blue and red tiled mosaics, with contemporary style. Although a large hotel with 200 bedrooms, Cinnamon Bey offers a personalised service and a laidback atmosphere. Enjoy the sun and surf and dine on fusion cuisine served up at the many in-house restaurants. Cinnamon Bey is one of several Cinnamon hotels owned by the John Keells group.
The 200 luxurious bedrooms are spread across two wings and all open on to private terraces or balconies with sea views. Room interiors are spacious and furnished with twin or double beds. Standard in-room facilities include a/c, overhead fans, Cable TV, DVD player, IDD telephone, mini-bar, tea/coffee facility, and safety deposit box. Ensuite bathrooms have h/w rain showers, hair dyrer and complimentary toiletries.
Superior Rooms (420 sq. ft): The 170 Superior Rooms are located in a separate wing and include a dressing area. Some of these rooms have been specially modified for wheelchair access.
Deluxe Rooms (530 sq. ft.): There are 28 Deluxe Rooms located in the second wing. In addition to the standard in-room facilities, these rooms have a Jacuzzi in the balcony.
Suites (1440 sq. ft): Located on the top floor of the hotel, these two luxurious suites are spacious and have a separate living and dining area as well as a broad balcony with private plunge pool.
