Constance Halaveli

A stay at Constance Halaveli is the definition of a barefoot luxury. Maldivian powder-white sand and a dense grove of palms in the centre of the island, all surrounded by crystalline waters. Its location in the North Ari Atoll is ideal for divers and snorkellers, with plenty of rich reefs to explore within easy reach, and being just a 25-minute seaplane from Malé, you’re remote enough to have your panoramas unspoiled by the ocean traffic to and from the capital.

Seclusion doesn’t end there. 29 beach villas hide in the groves, perfectly landscaped for maximum privacy. But for those who prefer a hit of sea air in the mornings, there are 57 overwater villas suspended over the turquoise shores. All come with a private plunge pool and garden or terrace, and their decor is beachy and modern, with traditional wooden features to complement the white-washed walls. Strategically placed swings and hammocks offer more opportunities for seclusion. But while the endless days of diving and canoeing across the reefs are a huge draw, you’ll also find plenty to keep you occupied on dry land, from tennis and table tennis to volleyball and badminton.

When you’re ready to refuel, choose from four restaurants, ranging from elegant to laid back, where you can dine with your feet in the sand. If lounging on the beach and disappearing into a book sounds too taxing, then retreat to the overwater spa, complete with a hammam and sauna. Children are well taken care of at Constance Halaveli. As well as the Constance Kids Club, which offers extensive activities, little ones can also enjoy child-friendly spa treatments. All of the suites and villas can accommodate one or more children.

Exceptional tour of Sri Lanka with Dami. We cannot recommend Dami at Red dot tours highly enough. As our guide over 9 days he made sure that our trip to Sri Lanka was unforgettable- always going above & beyond to impart his knowledge, show us things off the beaten track, looking after us, getting us to try many local delicacies & making us laugh .. a LOT. Cannot imagine anyone doing a better job- if we could take him with us on every holiday we would!

Dulmini did a great job listening to our wishes and arranged an itinerary that was very busy but met all our needs. Sisira, our guide, was outstanding, providing us with great local knowledge and suggesting other activities on our travels. Wow what can I say, from start to finish we have had a wonderful holiday with Red Dot Tours. We spent 13 days on a Bawa tour with wonderful driver and guide Manjula, including Kandalama Heritance, The Kandy House, The Last House, Jetwing Yala, Jetwing Lighthouse and Club Villa hotels. This is an excellent tour company. They planned our Sri Lankan holiday from start to finish. As a group of 8 we have had the most fabulous tour of Sri Lanka organised by Dulmini from RedDot who totally understood my brief of "some" culture, agriculture, nature, trekking and relaxation. The hotels chosen were a wonderful mixture of homestay, tented and pure luxury (Ceylon Tea Trails). The experiences to local villages, trekking the Pekoe Trail and climbing Pidurangala were memorable and our wonderful guide, Ananda, was so informative and knowledgeable and adapted to our needs admirable (not easy with a group of 8)
