While Villa Océane offers proximity to beautiful surf spots, not all nearby beaches have lifeguards, so it's important to be cautious especially with children

Though the villa offers a peaceful getaway, its location may require a short drive to reach nearby attractions, so plan a method of transportation

The villa welcomes families and offers family bedrooms, alongside babysitting services which can be arranged. As the villa is relatively small, family activities on-site are limited, however the nearby beaches provide ample opportunity for water sports and beach days out.

In the coastal village of Kamburugamuwa, just west of Mirissa on Sri Lanka's southern coast, the villa is a 10-minute walk from Madiha Beach, world-renowned for its surf breaks. The nearest major airport is Koggala Airport (KCT), which is just 27 km away. The villa is 6 km from the centre of Mirissa itself, providing easy access to local sights and amenities. Nearby attractions include the Paravi Duwa Temple, 6 km away, and the Shrine of Our Lady of Matara, about 10 minutes by car. Further afield, the historic Galle Fort is approximately 30 km away.

Exceptional tour of Sri Lanka with Dami. We cannot recommend Dami at Red dot tours highly enough. As our guide over 9 days he made sure that our trip to Sri Lanka was unforgettable- always going above & beyond to impart his knowledge, show us things off the beaten track, looking after us, getting us to try many local delicacies & making us laugh .. a LOT. Cannot imagine anyone doing a better job- if we could take him with us on every holiday we would!

Dulmini did a great job listening to our wishes and arranged an itinerary that was very busy but met all our needs. Sisira, our guide, was outstanding, providing us with great local knowledge and suggesting other activities on our travels. We spent 13 days on a Bawa tour with wonderful driver and guide Manjula, including Kandalama Heritance, The Kandy House, The Last House, Jetwing Yala, Jetwing Lighthouse and Club Villa hotels. As a group of 8 we have had the most fabulous tour of Sri Lanka organised by Dulmini from RedDot who totally understood my brief of "some" culture, agriculture, nature, trekking and relaxation. The hotels chosen were a wonderful mixture of homestay, tented and pure luxury (Ceylon Tea Trails). The experiences to local villages, trekking the Pekoe Trail and climbing Pidurangala were memorable and our wonderful guide, Ananda, was so informative and knowledgeable and adapted to our needs admirable (not easy with a group of 8)
