Satpura National Park
One of the lesser-visited gems among India’s national parks, Satpura offers a deeply intimate wildlife experience among its forests and waterfalls.
Boat safaris introduce you to the resident crocodiles, otters and waterbirds while the unique option of a walking safari allows the jungle to envelop you in its extraordinary cacophony of sounds. You’ll seek out white bison, porcupine, deer, langurs, giant squirrels and the thriving populations of over 300 species of bird. The larger predators are here, but they’re wary of humans and aside from pugmarks and the distant alarm calls of their prey, you’re unlikely to see them.
