This glimmering marble mausoleum, shimmering with its inlaid jewels and delicate fretwork, is often photographed but little captures the true wonder of standing beneath this grand monument to love. From the Itimad-ud-Daulah, or ‘Baby Taj’, to the red sandstone of Agra Fort, every building in Agra tells a tale. But the Taj Mahal is the real draw, whether rising early to catch it in the hazy morning light, returning at sunset to see the changing colours of the marble, or visiting Mehtab Bagh to see it from a different angle.
