Ranthambore National Park
Set out in search of the regal Bengal tiger in the deciduous forests, rolling grasslands and lakes of the Ranthambore National park.
This sprawling wilderness is home to a thriving population of over 80 tigers, making it one of the most densely populated parks in India. Aside from the famed tiger, the park is also home to hyenas, leopards, caracal cats, sloths and crocodiles. Twitchers are spoiled with around 320 species of indigenous and migratory birds, including cormorant, bronzed-winged jacana, kingfisher, nightjar, and serpent eagle, while the formidable Ranthambore Fort clings to its hillside position, keeping watch over the plains below.
