Ella
Ella is a small but now incredibly popular town in Sri Lanka's hill country.
Located in the Southeastern corner of the tea country, Ella is famously accessed by train from Kandy, but can also be reached by road. The area is popular with backpackers, but once you are out of town the area feels quiet and serene, with some stunning trekking and tea country walks.
Just north you'll find Nine Arches Bridge, Little Adam's Peak and not far away are Ravana Falls. On a clear day you can see to Ella Gap and even as far as Uda Walawe National Park and the South Coast./p>
