Inspiration
Seriously spoiling, this is a palatial property in Rajasthan’s Aravalli Hills.
Amanbagh is a retreat within easy distance of Jaipur and Sariska Tiger Reserve and is one of a kind. Date and mango trees dot the lawns, surrounding the overwhelmingly beautiful and contemporary suites and pavilions.
At the centre of the property is a gorgeous green-tiled pool, offset beautifully by the pale stone arches and walkways. Expect exquisite food, a sumptuous spa, attentive service, and ample shaded spots to while away the afternoons. If you can tear yourself away, there’s plenty to see and do in the local area, including safaris in the tiger reserve and visits to nearby cultural sites.
What we love
- The excellent food, facilities, and activities you’d expect from the Aman hotel brand
- We love the elegant green marble bathtubs in every suite
- A wonderful blend of contemporary and traditional decor
- Spacious rooms and suites come with plenty of privacy–spend mornings on your private terrace, lapping up the sun
- The pool area is a showstopper with green tiles and pale stone columns
- Visit nearby Sariska Tiger Reserve, home to tigers, leopards, panthers, antelopes, monkeys, and hundreds of birds.
No coffee making facilities in the rooms but the room service will be happy to oblige
The stone decor may not be for everyone as it can feel cold but it’s impeccably designed and in keeping with the Aman brand
Some of the rooms have few plug sockets due to the stone walls–pack a portable charger just in case
Families of all ages are welcome at Amabagh and although the hotel has a decidedly grown up feel, there are plenty of child-friendly activities to keep kids entertained, from treasure hunts to cooking classes and even kids’ yoga.
If you wish to bring younger children, baby cots are available for no additional charge and extra beds are available for children aged 6-12 for an additional fee. Babysitting can also be arranged.
Aman hotels all strive to support and preserve local heritage, culture, the environment and communities in their respective locations. All produce is fair trade and they have a strong focus on waste management, energy efficiency, and planting trees. They also support the education and enterprises of local communities, tackling poverty and providing opportunities to women, children, and those from deprived neighbourhoods.
Amanbagh is located in Ajabgarh in the Aravalli Hills, around a 90-minute drive from Jaipur.
