Inspiration
Amet Haveli is a comfortable Mughal-style hotel with 22 rooms all overlooking Udaipur’s serene Lake Pichola.
Nearly three centuries old, this haveli was designed by the same architect behind the City Palace and Jag Niwas Lake Palace, two of the city’s many gems that you can witness from your hotel room. Dine out on the terrace and watch the sunset over the Aravalli mountains, or take a boat ride and soak it in from the middle of the lake. Each room is well-equipped with modern amenities, whilst preserving the old-world charm of Udaipur.
What we love
- Every room has a serene view of Lake Pichola
- Dine in one of only three Badi Mahal, or garden palaces, in Udaipur
- We love that you can take in the city from a new angle, as you ride the Amet Haveli boat across the lake
- Well-located, just a 20-minute walk from the Hindu Jagdish Temple, and a 15-minute walk from the City Palace complex
There are limited options for food at breakfast, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby that open early
Some of the furnishings need updating, but it’s a comfortable, well-equipped hotel
Curtains are thin, so bring an eye mask if you prefer to lie in
Families are welcome, but amenities are not designed with families in mind.
Located on Hanuman Ghat Road overlooking Lake Pichola, Outside Chandpole, a 20-minute walk from the centre of Udaipur.
