Inspiration
Narendra Bhawan is a lavish property that tells the story of its former owner, the last Maharaja of Bikaner.
Curios and trinkets adorn the hotel, collected on the Maharaja’s travels, while Art Deco and avant garde details complete its chic design, from the capacious rooms, to the black and white tiled lobby, to the eye-catching red grand piano.
Spend time exploring Bikaner’s havelis, indulging in a lakeside picnic, and embarking on a camel or jeep safari through the desert. Retreat to your sumptuous room, melt into a state of relaxation in the Clinic spa, or lounge by the rooftop pool.
What we love
- The former home of the last reigning Maharaja of Bikaner
- A lavish property that celebrates Rajasthan’s Art Deco movement–we love the black and white decor of the inner veranda
- Lounge by the rooftop infinity pool with views across Bikaner
- Dine on a mouthwatering fusion of Indian and Western cuisine at restaurant Pearls & Chiffon
- Facilities include a spa and gym
You’ll need to arrange a car to explore Bikaner’s attractions as the neighbourhood is predominantly residential
The hotel hosts the occasional wedding which can get noisy so you may wish to stay when their event diary is clear
All of the guestrooms are accessed via stairs so it’s not wheelchair accessible
Families are welcome, but amenities are not designed with families in mind and the hotel feels best suited to adults. There aren’t any interconnecting rooms but if you do wish to bring little ones, you’ll find space for cots and extra beds in all the rooms.
Located on Samvit Shikshan Sansthan, in a residential area of Bikaner in northern Rajasthan. Bikaner airport is a short drive away.
