Oberoi Vanyavilas Wildlife Resort

Right on the edge of Ranthambore National Park, Oberoi Vanyavilas is a sumptuous safari-style property, suited to travellers who want to experience India’s incredible wildlife without sacrificing on comfort.

The 25 permanent tents feel more like hotel suites, with spacious en suite bathrooms, marble baths, teak wooden floors, air conditioning, and a private garden area for sunbathing.

Golf carts transport you from your tent to the main lodge, where you’ll find a temperature-controlled pool, fine-dining restaurant, and the cosy library bar. There is also a well-equipped spa and fitness tent.

Less of a ‘wild’ experience than some of the other properties in the area but it’s the perfect choice if you don’t want to sacrifice any luxuries.

Oberoi Vanyavilas is well-equipped for families and kids will love the safari experience in Ranthambhore National Park. At the hotel, babysitting, child-friendly activities, special menus, and even a movie menu for kids are available. Rooms can accommodate extra beds.

In 2014, the Oberoi Group partnered with SOS Children’s Villages, a project that seeks to support the education and well-being of underprivileged children. They provide care and education for parentless, homeless or abandoned children.

Oberoi Vanyavilas is located on Ranthambhore Road, right on the edge of Ranthambore National Park.

Exceptional tour of Sri Lanka with Dami. We cannot recommend Dami at Red dot tours highly enough. As our guide over 9 days he made sure that our trip to Sri Lanka was unforgettable- always going above & beyond to impart his knowledge, show us things off the beaten track, looking after us, getting us to try many local delicacies & making us laugh .. a LOT. Cannot imagine anyone doing a better job- if we could take him with us on every holiday we would!

Dulmini did a great job listening to our wishes and arranged an itinerary that was very busy but met all our needs. Sisira, our guide, was outstanding, providing us with great local knowledge and suggesting other activities on our travels. He was a great driver on the busy Sri Lankan roads, was always punctual but above all added colour to the whole trip.

Wow what can I say, from start to finish we have had a wonderful holiday with Red Dot Tours. We spent 13 days on a Bawa tour with wonderful driver and guide Manjula, including Kandalama Heritance, The Kandy House, The Last House, Jetwing Yala, Jetwing Lighthouse and Club Villa hotels. This is an excellent tour company. They planned our Sri Lankan holiday from start to finish. The trip was initially planned for 2022 but due to Covid and other issues we didn’t manage to undertake the trip until this year. As a group of 8 we have had the most fabulous tour of Sri Lanka organised by Dulmini from RedDot who totally understood my brief of "some" culture, agriculture, nature, trekking and relaxation. The hotels chosen were a wonderful mixture of homestay, tented and pure luxury (Ceylon Tea Trails). The experiences to local villages, trekking the Pekoe Trail and climbing Pidurangala were memorable and our wonderful guide, Ananda, was so informative and knowledgeable and adapted to our needs admirable (not easy with a group of 8)
