Inspiration
Surrounded by pepper, tea, and coffee plantations, Pepper Trail is a charming bungalow in the tropical rainforests of Wayanad, Kerala.
A stay here is all about the outdoors - take a boat ride on the springwater reservoir, trek across the estate, or amble through the hotel’s herb garden. A pretty infinity pool awaits after days exploring and, for an extra treat, there’s also an Ayurvedic spa.
There are just four rooms - two in the old plantation bungalow and two treehouses - all are beautifully decorated and boast private terraces to immerse yourself in the lush surroundings. Perfect for a relaxing, nature-filled getaway.
What we love
- A picturesque plantation bungalow in the tropical rainforests of Wayanad, Kerala
- Just four guestrooms and suites - we love the treehouse accommodation for a unique stay
- Sample traditional Keralan cuisine in the on-site restaurant
- Relax by the outdoor pool or in the small spa
- Trek to far corners of the estate, explore the spice plantations, and visit prehistoric caves
- Spend time on the plantations, learning about the coffee, tea, and pepper cultivation processes
The hotel doesn’t have a license to serve alcohol but you’re welcome to bring your own
It’s remote but the facilities are fantastic - you’ll be well taken care of - we think it’s worth the journey to be surrounded by nature
The wooden clad interiors can feel a little dark but with so much to do here, you’ll probably spend more time outside than in your room
Families are welcome, but amenities are not designed with families in mind.
Located on Mangalam Carp Estate in the tropical rainforests of Wayanad, Kerala. It’s a three hour drive from the nearest airport.
