Inspiration
The grand entrance at Samode Haveli welcomes you into an elegant and ornate 300-year-old boutique property that is overwhelmingly charming.
Its location within the Pink City’s walls makes it an ideal base for exploring Jaipur’s main attractions, like Hawa Mahal, City Palace, and Jantar Mantar. This was one of the first havelis to be transformed into a boutique hotel and it remains one of the city’s most sought after. Watch kites soar from the rooftop terrace, dine in the elegant courtyard, and kick back by the huge pool. Rooms are unique and characterful, with an array of antiques, mosaics and art on display that transport you through India’s history.
What we love
- Opulent decor that wouldn’t feel out of place in a Rajasthani palace
- Savour a drink on the rooftop terrace and watch locals fly kites – a popular local pastime
- Warm service from the moment you step foot inside
- The mosaic-lined pool is huge and a welcome respite from the city heat
It’s larger than other boutique properties but still feels like a family home – if a rather palatial one
One of the most popular havelis in Jaipur; we recommend booking ahead to secure your room
It can attract a few smaller groups at times
Due to it’s popularity it can feel a little busy, but we feel this adds to the atmosphere
Families are welcome, but amenities are not designed with families in mind
Located on Dariyo Ki Gali in Govind Nagar West, and a 20 minute walk from the City Palace, Jaipur
