Inspiration
The Imperial is a landmark, the first hotel in New Delhi and still one of the most popular since its opening in 1936.
We love the seamless fusion of Art Deco and Lutyens architecture that feels opulent without being stuffy. Through every corridor, an impressive art collection of over 5,000 unique works tells a story spanning two centuries of India’s past. But beyond its history, The Imperial also caters for those seeking modern comforts. With 235 rooms, facilities include an expansive pool, spacious gardens, multiple bars and restaurants, and a spa offering both Ayurvedic and Western wellness treatments.
What we love
- Incredible heritage; this is fine example of a restored historic hotel
- Fantastic selection of cuisine from European to sweet treats. We particularly love the cake shop
- Well located for exploring Connaught Place for shopping and street food
- Wonderful pool, spa and gardens
- Beautiful decor, elegant without being over the top
