Inspiration
The Trident Udaipur spreads itself over 43 acres on the lush green banks of Lake Pichola.
This vast hotel is a sanctuary away from the bustle of the city of lakes, offering all the creature comforts you’ll need for a city break. Swim laps in the pool, rejuvenate in the spa with Ayurvedic and Western-inspired therapies, or dine out on the terrace. If you’re a family, while you relax, children will be kept endlessly entertained at the Trident Kids’ Club. With its maze-like gardens, simple but comfortable rooms, and traditional Rajasthani architecture, this hotel promises a pleasant stay away from the buzz of the city.
What we love
- Plenty of ways to unwind, either in the pool, the fitness centre or the spa
- 24-hour service promises warm, friendly and attentive hospitality around the clock
- Stunningly large gardens for you to get lost in, or for the little ones to run around in
- Well-located if you’re looking for a quiet part of town, surrounded by nature
The rooms are a little small, but perfectly adequate
It’s a little bland compared to the majority of our boutique hotels at Red Dot, but it serves a really good purpose and is sometimes needed in times of low availability in the city
It’s not full of character, but it’s clean and comfortable
Few choices for dining at the hotel and a little far from restaurants in town, so best to plan your meals accordingly
Taxis from the front desk into town are pricey and don’t get you all the way due to the narrow streets. But you can always take a tuk tuk
Families are welcome, and there are specific amenities for children including games and play areas
The hotel partners with charities to provide for the upbringing and education to orphaned, homeless or abandoned children living in India, and to help support their career prospects. 60% of the hotel’s electricity is generated by solar power, and they also have in-house water bottling facilities and an EV charging station
Located on Trident Road in the Mali Colony by Lake Pichola, Udaipur
