Inspiration
Windamere Hotel is a colonial-era property that dates back to the days of the British Raj.
From the floral decor to the dark wooden furniture, candlelit restaurant and quaint cottage buildings, everything about this property is steeped in nostalgia. Perched on Observatory Hill, Windamere overlooks Darjeeling’s main promenade - on a clear day, views reach far beyond to the Himalayas, with Tibet, Nepal, and Bhutan visible in the distance, their snow-capped peaks dominating the landscape.
Embrace the slow pace and amble through tea plantations, monasteries and nearby villages, winding up with afternoon tea on the lawn.
