Arriving in Delhi, you’ll be met by your private driver and whisked to your hotel, offering a tantalising first glimpse of this bustling city. Take some time to relax as tomorrow you’re diving in.

Today you’ll experience the cultural melting pot of Delhi. Tour the iconic architecture, help serve community food at the Sikh Gurdwara, take a rikshaw through the oldest and spiciest city market and end your day at the serene Humayun’s Tomb.

A short train journey takes you to the Mughal masterpieces in Agra. From the Red Fort’s sandstone carvings and marble towers to the ornate marble inlay of the Itmad-ud-Daula, you’ll come to understand the craftsmanship that led to the Taj Mahal.

Sunrise this morning will be one that may stay with you forever as you watch the dawn colours play on the white façade of the Taj Mahal. You’ll have time to sit and stare before leaving Agra for Jaipur.

From opulent palaces to astronomical wizardry, illusionary façades to snake charmers’ flutes, you’ll be introduced to the captivating sites of this sandstone city before heading to the Amber Fort with its castellated walls, vast elephant gates and bejewelled mirrored halls.

Driving south from Jaipur, you’ll skim the edge of the arid Aravalli Hills, punctuated by cameos of goat herders, camel carts and brightly painted trucks. As the Thar Desert begins, you’ll catch glimpses of Jodhpur shimmering in the heat haze ahead.

You’ll walk the maze of Jodhpur’s blue streets today, feeling the buzz of trade in this important desert outpost. Overhead, Mehrangarh Fort beckons, and your guide will talk you through its impressive historical significance before you head to the Jaswant Thada.

On route to Udaipur, you’ll stop at the stunning white marble architecture and intricate carvings of the Ranakpur Jain Temple. You’ll have an audio guide to accompany your explorations here, explaining this important pilgrimage site from the 15th century.

The ‘city of lakes’ will be unveiled to you in all its majesty today. Ornate palaces and Hindu temples, mirror-like lakes and serene gardens combine to conjure this city’s enduring magic. End your day with souvenirs aplenty at Bada Bazaar.

Your introduction to Rajasthan complete, you’ll be driven to Udaipur airport for your connecting flight to Delhi, where you’ll board your flight home.
