Red Dot accommodation ratings were introduced to provide a useful tool for independent travellers planning their holiday to Sri Lanka.

We realised that the wide choice of properties available now in the island can be overwhelming at times and it is therefore useful for travellers to get honest feedback from past customers as well as from Red Dot's own experienced Sri Lanka holiday consultants.

We also realised that some other popular customer review or rating websites are handicapped by the possibility of abuse and manipulation given that even non-guests can rate or review properties.

Our ratings are based on real confidential reviews by Red Dot clients. To ensure that rating do not become out-of-date the system only uses ratings for holidays within the past two years.
