Passikudah
Passikudah, on Sri Lanka's eastern coast, really comes to life between May and September when this slice of the island enjoys calm and often sunny weather.
This small coastal town and beach has expanded in recent years and now accommodates a number of beach resorts. We feel the beach is one of the countries finest as it's protected by a natural reef, making it incredibly calm and warm.
This makes this location perfect for families, but also couples wanting a warm relaxing ocean. The beach can get a little busy in July and August, but it's a vast stretch so it doesn't feel overcrowded.
