The 500 rooms and suites at Shangri-La Colombo are categorised as Deluxe Lake View, Deluxe Ocean View, Premier Balcony, Premier Ocean View, Horizon Club Lake View, Horizon Club Ocean View, Executive Suites, Specialty Suites and Shangri-La Suite.
The well-appointed rooms are furnished with a king-sized bed, a private balcony with ocean or lake views, writing table, TV with cable channels, comfortable chairs and an ensuite bathroom with a rain shower. All rooms have air-conditioning, mini-bar and coffee and tea making facilities.
The suites are spacious and come with a separate sitting area and have the same amenities as the rooms. Guests of Horizon suites and above also have complimentary access to the Horizon Club Lounge where they can have breakfasts and enjoy high tea in the evenings.
The One-bedroom apartment is spacious and comes with a sitting area, kitchenette and dining area, balcony and ensuite bathroom. The Two-bedroom apartment is bigger with a similar layout and has a master bedroom and a twin bedroom with ensuite bathrooms.
Shangri-La has four main restaurants: Table One, Capital Bar & Grill, Shang Palace and Kaema Sutra. Themed after the Pettah market in Colombo, Table One is the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant offering an extensive range of Sri Lankan Indian, Chinese and Intercontinental dishes. Capital Bar & Grill is their steakhouse cum fine dining restaurant which has three individually designed dining areas guests can choose from. Shang Palace is Shangri-La’s signature restaurant which serves Chinese cuisine from Sichuan, Dongbei and Canton including the famed Peking duck dish. Kaema Sutra run by local chef extraordinaire, Darshan Munidasa who also owns one of the Top 50 restaurants in Asia highlights Sri Lankan fusion cuisine. In addition, Shangri-La also has Sapphyr Lounge where high tea is served in the evenings.
