Bhutan
Throughout the year, vibrant religious festivals animate towns and valleys with colour and ritual, while spring and summer bring hillsides and forests alive with rhododendrons, wildflowers and blossoming trees. The aim of our tailor-made journeys to Bhutan is to bring all of these elements to life with private and very specialist local guiding and carefully created experiences.
Less mountainous than its neighbour, Nepal, yet no less beautiful, across the country you'll find exquisitely positioned places to stay offering understated comfort, often framed by mountains, rivers and open valleys. In Paro, the iconic Tiger’s Nest monastery is breathtaking, while Thimphu offers an insight into typical daily life in the capital that can't be missed. Punakha feels more tropical and is defined by gentle rivers and fertile rice growing valleys. Gangtey, a personal favourite of ours, offers something even quieter and untouched.
Unlike anywhere else on earth, a private tour of Bhutan rewards those who take their time, inviting a deeper understanding of the subtle traditions, values and quiet beauty that define this remarkable kingdom. We feel Bhutan is perfect for those who have visited some other parts of Asia before, as we feel its beauty is quieter, more understated and very authentic. We feel this is best appreciated when compared to other parts of the continent that are much more developed. Our tailor-made tours to Bhutan really allow for this slower and deeper approach to travel as it can be completely planned around you.

Weather in Bhutan
What's the best time to visit Bhutan?
Bhutan can be visited throughout the year, with each season offering a distinct experience, however the best time to visit is widely considered to be October to April. From May until September it can feel warm and humid, so we prefer the crisp cooler days of high season. We often recommend considering travel during shoulder season, when you’ll enjoy better value, fewer crowds, and a more meaningful connection with local communities.
On our radar
Explore The Kingdom of Bhutan
Bhutan is a Himalayan kingdom shaped by mountain valleys, ancient monasteries, and traditions that continue to guide daily life. Journeys move through regions such as Thimphu, Punakha, and Phobjikha, following winding roads past forests, rivers, and quiet villages. Travel here is slow and considered, centred on monastery visits, gentle hikes, local markets, and shared meals in traditional farmhouses. With a strong focus on mindful tourism, Bhutan offers a rare chance to experience the Himalayas beyond mass travel, revealing a living culture preserved with care and intention.
